A partner organization of the Charter of Human Responsibilities Philippine Facilitation Team, the Center for Positive Futures, is a partner in the Global Classroom Initiative (GCI) project initiated by Monde Pluriel, a France-based non-governmental organization. Monde Pluriel hopes to raise awareness among different sectors of society on global citizenship. The GCI aims to promote inter-cultural dialogue among students from different parts of the world, interacting on issues such as education, food habits, cultural diversity, and environmental problems.

Five schools are participating in the program for this schoolyear - Center for Positive Futures and Community of Learners from the Philippines, the Collège des Eaux Claires, Grenoble and the Lycée de Crest from France, and the Cortland High School in Upstate New York, USA. Theme of the dialogue this schoolyear is "Pollution" in connection with promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The dialogue will start September 2008 and will run until March 2009. In November 2008, there shall be a web conference among teachers and in February 2008, there shall be a web conference among selected students.

It will be an exciting forum and the students from the Philippines are looking forward to this exchange.
