Presentation of work being carried out with the Charter and concrete experiences dealing with the same issues in different conferences/meetings, etc. in Europe This presentation will assist in disseminating the work and identifying potentially interested people so as to make contacts, collect experiences and create a mediating network. Not-to-be-missed initial meetings:
Apart from the WSF, research needs to be made into meetings/seminars organised by different socio-professional milieus on themes that may be related to assuming responsibilities, such as meetings of entrepreneurs that have adopted responsibility-based practices in their companies, meetings of civic groups on immigration, meetings of NGOs on fair trade, etc. Creating, organising and regularly updating the Europe section of the Charter’s website, primarily with experience records The website pages of the Charter of Human Responsibilities focussed on the work being carried out in Europe will be gradually built up with a lot of information (list of mediating network members, meeting reports, information about publications, seminars, diverse activities, experience records). This site will be the main tool for disseminating our work, especially as there is no paper publication planned for 2005. Gathering experiences related to assuming responsibilities and publishing them on web pages
Several experiences of this kind can be found in the Alliance’s Proposal Booklets. Writing records based on these experiences will be the first stage of this work. These records will be put on web pages as they are written. Our objective will be to convey these experiences, complement them, make contact with the authors, ask for additional information and eventually, involve them in our project.
We may consider publishing a booklet compiling the experience records, in two languages, anytime from 2006. Publication of informative notices, articles, experience accounts, etc. in magazines and newspapers in different European countries We will begin by pinpointing magazines, newsletters and other written media published by NGO’s, diverse socio-professional groups, etc. that would be likely to be interested in disseminating information about our work. Using material that will (in any case) be created for the web pages, we could draw up press reports, articles, experience accounts, etc., which would be disseminated by these medias. To do this, we will initially rely on contacts we already have through our involvement in different networks. We will then rely on members of the mediating network (to make contact with local medias and for translations) so that publications exist in a good proportion of European countries. We expect to begin pinpointing in 2005 and anticipate a publication in 2006. |
