Diffusion in the medias (Colombia, 2005)

The objective was to socialize the information on the Charter and to reveal the event of May 27, 2005. The main activity consisted in reaching the medias of the city to inform them on the Charter and the event, defining thus the importance of the activity and highlighting its projection rather than its possibility. We handed to each journalist concerned :
the prospectus of the event
information on the Charter of Human Responsibilities
symbolic objects to use during the event : a decorated candle and seeds.
a personal letter aiming to reach enough means for the diffusion of this information Also a phone call and a personal visit.

All these steps helped reinforcing the importance of the Charter process in the long term. As a result, we have participated in 6 radio programmes and 4 television programmes.

The only difficulty was to attract enough interest on the importance of the Charter of Responsibilities event, as a stronger element than simple news for the city, and to insist for this reason on covering it. This difficulty was increased by the visit of President Alvaro Uribe at the same date, to which the medias had to give priority.
