Cécile SABOURIN

A member of the International Steering Committee for the Charter of Human Responsibilities, she is a professor at the University of Quebec at Abitibi-Témiscaminque. She has a degree in economics, with tourism as her specialty, and is particularly interested in the political and social issues that flow from the dominant economic model. She headed the program on "women and the economy" sponsored by the Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World (2000-2004) and is First Vice President of the Quebec Federation of University Teachers (FQPPU), where her duties involve promoting public education and labor organization on campuses.
