Awareness of climate change and global warming is motivating many individuals, communities and organizations to make changes in their energy consumption practices. Most projections show that conservation can have an impact on energy use, but to have a significant impact on the human sources of climate change, we really need fundamental changes in industrial, national and regional policies of energy development, distribution and consumption.
“Energy & Responsibility: a conference on ethics and the environment” is a national conference scheduled for April 10-12, 2008. The conference aims to bring policy makers, ethicists, energy producers and activists into conversations around the issues of energy and responsibility. Keynote speakers include leading environmental ethicists, policy makers and advocates.
