Magnifying lens

Artist’s statement

A magnifying lens zooms in on an ordinary city, following a “distorted” perspective, as “distorted” is very often the development of our society with regard to our environment.
The city may seem peaceful and happy, but if you look at it more attentively you can distinguish people polluting the environment in various ways, others bearing the multiple consequences of the destruction of our planet, and some others trying to “fight” this destruction.
In a humorous way and through a simple drawing, I would like to show to what extent we may all affect our environment, even through simple everyday actions, such as the use of our air conditioner.
